MINNEAPOLIS — A system spreading across Minnesota Wednesday will bring minimal accumulation to the Twin Cities, but higher snow totals out west.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect for western Minnesota until 6 p.m. for another 2 inches of snow and gusty winds reducing visibility.
A wind advisory is in effect for southwestern Minnesota until 6 p.m. for wind gusts of 45 mph.
Highs will be in the mid-30s throughout the day with wind chills in the 20s. The metro will get breezy winds and light snow showers that should slow down by the evening commute, with a dusting to a half-inch of accumulation possible. The snow should wrap up for most by 10 p.m.
Thursday will be chilly and breezy with temps in the 30s.
Expect highs in the 30s into next week with lows in the 20s, and even teens for some in western Minnesota.
The metro’s next chance for rain and/or snow will be on Monday.
